Welcome to Stagey Social ♡
Stagey Social is run by me - Flora!
Some of you may know me better as Flower Theatre.
My passion is theatre and sharing that love with others. This is what has spurred me on to create Stagey Social.
When I realised that so many people don’t want to go to the theatre alone, or have no one to share their theatrical love with, I wanted to change that (because I was once that person too!).
I have made some of my best friends at the theatre and I wanted to help others do the same through fun events and theatre trips which allow folks to come together and bond over our shared love of theatre.

As if the picture leaves it in any doubt, my favourite show (at the moment) is definitely Starlight Express. I mean what’s not to love about “Sparkly space trains” as me and my friends lovingly refer to it.
-
A tough question for sure but I reckon if you get me on the mic at Stagey Karaoke you’ll see me sing either You’ll be Back from Hamilton or I say No from Heathers!

This honour goes to the Criterion Theatre. It has such a fascinating history and it is absolutely gorgeous with its hand painted tiles and small details. I could spend hours in there just soaking it all up. The seats are pretty comfy too.
…but Why?
Why set up a social club for theatre fans?
Simple.
I’ve heard one too many theatre fans saying they missed out on a play or musical they were really excited for simply because “they didn’t have anyone to go see it with” and I want to put an end to that. I’ve been in that boat and it sucks.
Gone are the days of having no one to go and see shows with. No more will you have to listen to show tunes alone or have no one to discuss the latest theatre news with. Stagey Social is all about creating a community where we can all be theatre fans together.
Outside of just simply helping people make new theatre going friends, I also wanted to create a community that allows us to all be theatre kids to the full! No more being judged. Instead we can have fun together, united by our shared love of performing arts.
I want Stagey Social to grow into a community of theatre lovers where you can come and make friends, talk theatre gossip, learn new skills and embrace your love for theatre in a brand new way.
There is so much more to enjoying theatre than simply going to see shows.
It’s singing show tunes at the top of your lungs.
It’s trying to memorise the steps to your favourite dance break.
It’s about wanting to embrace everything and anything that goes into bringing the magic of live theatre to life.
I want to broaden the horizons of what it means to hang out with your fellow theatre lovers.
Be it karaoke, dance workshops, backstage tours and so much more, the Stagey Social community will embrace EVERYONE and EVERY aspect of what loving theatre really means
